DaGeDar® Star Wars®

     Hey everyone, we were fortunate enough to be chosen, to try a grea,t new toy called, DaGeDar®Star Wars® and we want to share it with you!  Cepia, the makers of ZhuZhuPets and the original DaGeDar have created an exciting new line, combining the excitement of DaGeDar with Star Wars.  What kid is not going to love this??  
     The DaGeDar®Star Wars® Racers are each a Star Wars character and when placed on the special Decoder, using RFID Technology, players can experience BOTH authentic Star Wars sounds, AND special animated videos!  There is a great track where kids can race someone with the Force against someone from the Darkside to see who wins.  My seven year old, J, and his cousin, B, can not get enough!  They absolutely love the characters and the sounds they make and race over and over to see who is going to win!
     The DaGeDar®Star Wars® line is not out in full force just yet.  However, I have two Dag Racers and a Decoder to give away to one lucky reader.  Also, ToysRUs has been given a limited amount of product here in the Phoenix area ahead of the release.  There will be themed track sets, audio and video decoders, special accessories, collector carrying cases, and of course, 100 collectable Dag Racer characters.  You can see our giveaway below.

Keeping My Color Beautiful

     One of the things I do to save money is color my own hair.  I know many of you will think this is crazy, but I have had a patch of grey hair right behind my bangs since I was 16.  Every year, there are more and more grey hairs and with my dark hair, they are not easily hidden.  I have gone to the salon and had my hair colored, but with job loss and all that goes with it, I had to quit doing that...unfortunately, the grey hair did not get the financial memo and keeps popping up, just about every four weeks.  Every month I go to Sally's Beauty Supply and pick up my bottle of Wella in Dark Golden Brown.  Luckily, I do like my hair one color, no highlights, so that makes this sacrifice a bit easier.  However, coloring my own hair only costs about $8.00 each time...that is a great deal cheaper than the salon.
     When I can afford it, I use an expensive color care shampoo from the Salon.  This usually costs about $13 per small bottle.  Recently, I was sent Tresemme Color Revitalize Shampoo and Conditioner to try and have been extremely pleased and quite surprised.  As a Bzz Agent, I received this great product as part of a Bzz Campaign to share my thoughts and coupons with you!

     It has been almost five weeks since I colored my hair and I can honestly say this is the first time I have not had any fading.  I only realized this because I have started to see a little grey at my roots where my regrowth is coming up, but the rest of my head still has a rich, full color.  Normally at this time, I am seeing roots and the rest of my head is fading drastically.  I can only credit the difference with Tresemme Color Revitalize.  I found the large bottles of this shampoo for $3.33 at Fry's and I had $1 off coupons, making each bottle $2.33.  Compare this with $20 for a big bottle of my salon shampoo and I would say that makes a great savings!  Tresemme Color Revitalize will now become a staple in my shower!!  If you would like to try it, I would be happy to send you a couple of coupons!   I highly recommend it to maintain your color.

Defiants

     We were so excited to be chosen for another toy launch and I am even more excited to share it with you!  Last week we received a big box from FedEx and everyone was excited to find miniature four wheel drive trucks and a big track for them to roam on!  Defiants are small, relentless 4 x 4's with unstoppable, motorized power and the kids love them.  We pulled everything out of the box and started playing.  You can see all the action here:

     Defiants debuted right here in Phoenix, Arizona and are selling fast.  They are definately a hot new toy for summer!  You can pick yours up at Toys R Us and Walmart here in the Valley.

FyrFlyz

      I do not often get excited about new toys...they usually mean more mess!  However, we received a really great new toy called FyrFlyz to try out and blog about!  The kids have been going crazy to try them and due to all our craziness the last couple of weeks, we did not get them out until tonight.  

     FyrFlyz are a simple, new toy with LED lights and rubber bands, but they were a huge hit with my kids.  They are currently at Toys R Us and cost $9.99.  Not bad for a great toy that will keep the kids busy for hours.  I cannot wait to have these out on the Fourth of July...so much easier than sparklers!  You can check out a video of the kids and Mike playing with the new toys here!  I am giving FyrFlyz  away to one of my faithful followers!  To be entered in the drawing, just become a follower (unless you already are) and comment on this post!  I will draw the winner on Monday, June 6th!

Fun Way to Get Freebies!

     Besides couponing, one of my favorite things to do is get free things in the mail and when those free things come with coupons, there is a party in my house!!  A few years ago, my cousin over at A Frugal Life introduced me to the idea of product marketing when she talked about the ever popular House Party.  My cousin had been sent a box from House Party with products and coupons for Hershey's Bliss candy because she said she would host a "house party" with friends and family and let them all eat the candy and give them the coupons and then post online about it.  So I decided to check it out.  I applied for all the House Parties I could and got one!!  It was not as cool as the chocolate, but I did receive green cleaners, coupons for free products and had eight people come over and have some fun.  I was hooked!!
     I began searching for other ways to get products for free, share the products and coupons and write my reviews.  It was a slow start, but now three years later, I get boxes in my email almost weekly.  In April, I received the following: Five tickets to Disney on Ice, New Covergirl NatureLuxe Foundation, new NatureLuxe Lipgloss, Children's Chewable Claritin and Liquid Claritin, bottles of Tresemme Color Shampoo and Conditioner (all full size).  A new toy called FyrFlyz (4 of them), DaGeDar Track, five DaGeDar Cases and 15 DaGeDar Supercharged Ball Bearings.  The most exciting thing I received was a FlipCam...yes, I said it, a FlipCam...for free!  One of the companies wanted videos posted of us using the free item, therefore sent the camera.  Crazy...$129 camera just for a little of my time.  I also may be receiving a $20 Toys R Us gift certificate for posting my video early!!  Wowie!

     If you want to get started, the easiest place to start is a company call BzzAgent.  You have to fill out a bunch of surveys and within a couple of weeks you will start getting invitations to Bzz Campaigns.  You will have to write reviews of the products, give out coupons, post on Facebook, Twitter, etc about the products (the more you do, the more you get), but all the freebies are sure fun!!  I also get points on MyPoints for every activity I complete.  I will eventually be able to cash those points in for rewards.  So Cool!!  Check it out today!

DaGeDar

     As I have reported before, I love to do product testing.  I have received many things in the mail to try and share with our friends and family.  Two summers ago, we received the brand new toy, Zhu Zhu Pets before they ever hit the stores.  We had a party my kids' friends and each child took one home.  It was tons of fun.  This year is proving to be just as fun.  Last week we received a box from FedEx with another new toy!
     DaGeDar, pronounced (DAH ge DAAR), is a new toy by Cepia, the makers of Zhu Zhu Pets.  We were fortunate enough to be a part of a marketing campaign for DaGeDar and received a box with a track, six sets of the DaGeDar Ball Bearings.  J (my son) has invited four of his friends from school over to try out the hot, new toy and leave with their own case and three Supercharged Ball Bearings.

     DaGeDar is a fast paced racing game where balls speed around a track, spin around a loop and fly over a jump.  Some tracks are single and some are double, perfect for racing.  The balls are different colors, have different "faces" on them and are different weights. Kids will love collecting the different balls and choosing which weights work better for tricks, races or speed.  J and his two sisters have had a great time with this new toy and J is very excited for his friends to come over and race with him!  I have a feeling DaGeDar will take Christmas by storm this year.  You can see my kids in action here:
